Bear of the Day

I can't stop with the bears. This bear turned into a color study as much as anything else. I posted a different version the other day and I wasn't really happy with it. This might be more of a complete thought.

Sketchbook Dog Daze

My sketchbook is filling up. My postings have slowed down. The dogs are fun to do. A couple of pages have dogs smoking. They really shouldn't be able to afford smoking.

Clownz

I am looking for the new Crusty the clown. I ran out of ideas after a while. There has to be some styles of clowns that I have missed. Oh, yeah, the bankers. Clowns in suits. Its been going on for too long.

Pizza Chef

Can you really be a pizza chef? I have had some good pizzas before but I think they were made by some high school kid. Probably a senior though, you wouldn't let freshman or sophomores near the oven. That word chef gets used quite liberally these days. Alot like the word artist.

OpeningDay @ Fenway

Winless in six games and the home opener at Fenway is at 2pm today vs the Yankees. The Sox are on everyones mind. Maybe the turkey will lay an egg that looks like a baseball. Only 156 borefests left.

Another day, another page. Guys today. These are not people I see, they are just creations. But the guys head at the bottom is the only real person. And I only started with it. His beret did not inflate.

The Fast Food Zone

Another fun little job for Patti Williams at the ZoneLabs. Some fast food icons. A cold drink, a hamburger and a small fries. I haven't eaten like that in years but I remember what it looks like. Enjoy!

PowerCouple

I love pencil sketching. I want to try a fountain pen and see how that works for my style. I read the mad ramblings of fountain pen users that love the flex of this tip and this ink. I just want to try one. The right one I guess. I will have to pay more attention to the pros.

Another sketch today. The fishing industry is a changing. I think I will change this to have the fisherman reading a book that he is holding in his right hand. I'll try this in Illustrator.

Our local town cable TV station had a contest for a new logo. I never win these things but I won this one! King for a day. I found a CD that had some images that I thought I had lost. Good for me and my illo blog. I'm post crazy today.

SpringTraining

I am on a torrid pace with my new sketchbook. Spring training is in the news and I have some ideas as to what really goes on down there in Florida. Players practice everything. Putting on uniforms, taking off uniforms. Media relations, pubic relations - I mean public relations or relations with the public. Major league stuff.

I Walk I Rock

My town tried to get kids to walk to school. Good idea, right. Well I did this shirt design for the group but the town stalled the initiative. Worried about liability. What a world. Common sense loses out to liability.

Setting the pace

Every good race has a rabbit out front to set a fast pace. Mine is just more real, a jack rabbit. Not some bunny.

A lazy Sunday start. Fill up on coffee and fill a page. I think I will try to convert the runners up on the top to illustrator. My second favorite thing to do.
